In the year 1975, on 4th November, Government Of India (GOI) formed a commission that was called Subordinate Service Commission.
Later on, from 26th September 1977, Subordinate Services Commission was retitled as Staff Selection Commission that is commonly known as SSC by the masses.
Till now, SSC consists seven regional workplaces in India at different locations. The locations comprise some of the cities and states such as Allahabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Guwahati.
